Focus On The Good 10 Day Challenge: Shift Your Perspective To An Attitude of Gratitude

This year has been a tough go, to say the least. From the fires in Australia, the COVID-19 Pandemic to the Black Lives Matter Movement. It has affected us all. Now, more than ever, self-care must be a priority. If we are not taking care of ourselves how can we help each other? The world needs more love.

As Jimi Hendrix so eloquently said it,

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.”

My year started with the intention and resolution to Focus On The Good. It’s been challenging, but I’m trying my best, as I’m sure we all are. Studies have shown that keeping an attitude of gratitude increases our attention, enthusiasm, optimism, and energy levels. We see greater improvement in the quality of sleep, and lower levels of anxiety and depression. Ultimately, cultivating a regular practice of gratitude can keep us healthier and happier.

So what is gratitude?

Gratitude is defined as the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Gratitude magnifies positive emotions and allows us to celebrate the present. It blocks negative emotions such as envy, resentment, and regret.

The World Needs Healing | You Need Self-Love

Your brain cannot experience negative emotions and gratitude at the same time. By practicing gratitude daily, we are training our brain to always be happy and to find the best-case scenario in all of today’s events and all of your past, present, and future experiences.

Power Of Habit | Together We Can Do This

A habit is a formula or routine our brain automatically follows. First, there is a cue. This is a trigger that tells your brain to go into automatic mode, and which habit to use. Next, there is the routine. Finally, there is the reward.

Habits take time to build. We, at The Good Tee, are proposing a challenge to help us lead with happiness, increase optimism, and bring us so much more. A 10-day challenge to help us focus on the good. Join us on Monday, July 20th so we can start building this habit. We will be posting a question each day on our Instagram Stories to help build our gratitude muscle. Times are tough but there is always something we can be grateful for.

We have a choice on what we want to focus on, so we propose focusing on the good. Join us on July 20th via Instagram and let’s start shifting our focus and mindset together.
