I met Adila at the National Retail Federation big show in January of 2023. After meeting, I purchased her Source My Garment book and read through it. I’ve implemented your book in my class that focuses on product development and distribution. It is a 300-level course and takes a lot of what students have learned leading up to that 3rd year of college and puts it into a real-world scenario where they actually design and produce a garment on a “mass” scale. A huge issue we have with students right now is their unwillingness to read. However, I think the way Adila has written this book is really changing some student attitudes about reading a “textbook”! Her humor and the way she puts information together is really making this a good experience for the students and I just wanted to thank you for that. Production can be a really dry topic, but I think they’re having some fun with this book.
